Tara Lorin was born in Brooklyn, NY in the summer of 1975.  She was raised by  hippie parents who taught her to love and respect all animals.  She owes all of her compassion for animals to the both of her parents.  Tara's father had all kinds of pets while she was a young girl, but her very first pet was a turtle names "Tootsie".  Tootsie would hang out by the fig tree in her grandparent’s backyard.  After Tootsie came Konan.  Konan was a Siberian Husky who was Tara's buddy till she was 13.  They were best buds and when Konan passed, Tara was devastated.  They swore they would never get another dog but then came Maggie, who was a brindle boxer.  She was the craziest dog and was almost impossible to train.  Maggie got sick and passed away when she was only 3 years old.  After Maggie, there was Pasta.  Pasta was a brindle English Bulldog who was the center of attention to the entire family.  Pasta was so full of love and it showed to everyone.  She loved kids and loved eating her spaghetti on Sunday!  While the family was busy with Pasta, Tara's brother brought home a baby pitbull (all white with a few black spots).  Tara's mother could not resist, so they kept the dog and named him Deniro.  Pasta and Deniro were inseparable.  At the age of 7 Pasta became very ill and passed away.  Things would never be the same.....Deniro is still running around and there are now also 7 cats that Tara's family has rescued from the street.

Today Tara is involved in many animal rights support groups and tries to help as many animals as she can. She would like to follow in the footsteps of Jane Goodall who has been such a true inspiration in her life. Jane Goodall has pioneered and paved the way for so many people and Tara would like to do the same.
Tara’s main target is to END ALL animal testing. She believes that we need to expand on non-invasive research programs. With the world as we all see it today, and what is to come tomorrow relies solely on our youth. Without educating our children they go without the proper knowledge, which leads to negative results.

The photo you see above is my fiance and I.  He is the most important person in my life.  He is my heart, my soul, my other half.  My life is complete knowing that I have him standing by my side supporting my passion.
